Meet Our Staff

Malory LaBonne

Director and Owner

I am so excited to be the director of The Music & Dance Academy! Music and dance have always been part of my life. Starting at a young age, I grew up dancing ballet, tap, and jazz, and eventually joined a competitive hip hop team and cheerleading squad in middle and high school. I also enjoyed performing in musicals, plays, and show choir. After graduating high school, I auditioned and accepted a full-time position for one of the largest entertainment companies in the world. Truly a dream job, I worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando for a year, performing in shows, parades, and meet and greets as many beloved princess heroines. I am so fortunate to spend my days now teaching and directing, in a career that I am deeply passionate about. I received my Bachelors in Mass Communication with a Minor in Dance from Indiana University, where I also met my husband my first semester. Today, we have two beautiful, fun, and crazy daughters - Hadley & Rowen. We are blessed with a wonderful, passionate, and talented staff!
